Facebook has restored former Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar's official page that was unpublished and assured it is investigating the issue.

The 'mahagathbandhan' in Bihar on Friday announced the seats to be contested by each of the alliance partners -- the RJD, Congress, RLSP, HAM and VIP -- in phases three to seven of the general elections.

Kovind defeated opposition's Kumar, a former Lok Sabha speaker, garnering more than 65% of the votes in the Electoral College, the Returning Officer for the poll announced.

On Sunday, Kumar said the Congress alone was “responsible for the current mess” in the Opposition

The former Lok Sabha speaker said that Presidential poll is being seen as Dalit vs Dalit contest and asserted that she will face the polls on plank of democratic values, inclusiveness, end of poverty, destruction of caste structure.

It’s going to be a direct fight between two Dalit candidates, since the NDA’s candidate Ram Nath Kovind is also a Dalit.

So says the minister for social justice, on reservations in private sector, but then haven't we heard it all before on the other famous reservations for women? How the government hopes to implement this remains another imponderable, of course.
