India collected 174 gold, 93 silver and 45 bronze after ten days of competitions in the 13th edition of the South Asian Games to surpass the 309 (189 gold, 90 silver and 30 bronze) they had won in the previous edition in Guwahati and Shillong in 2016

India won 15 gold medals on Day of the South Asian Games 2019 as the country's medal tally stood at 32 gold, 26 silver and 13 bronze for a total of 71. Nepal close second with a haul of 29 gold, 15 silver and 25 bronze for a total of 69 medals

South Asian Games 2019, Day 2 Wrap: India Clinch 27 Medals With Big Hauls From Shooting, Athletics; Remains 2nd

India's medal tally on the second day of South Asian Games 2019 stood at 43 medals (18 gold, 16 silver and 9 bronze), behind hosts Nepal's 44 (23 gold, 9 silver, 12 bronze). Sri Lanka was third with 46 medals (5 gold, 14 silver, 27 bronze)
