Bhavina Patel made the first big splash on day 8 of the Commonwealth Games 2022 for India by entering the women's singles class 3-5 para table tennis final. But sprinter Hima Das failed to qualify for the final of the women's 200m even as defending women's singles TT champion Manika Batra suffered a 0-4 defeat in the quarter-final. On a busy day for Indian athletes, there were actions in wrestling, badminton, hockey, squash and lawn bowls too.
