Red Bull driver and World Champions Max Verstappen cruised to a 15th Grand Prix win of 2022 as Formula 1 2022 season came to an end with the final race at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi. Charles Leclerc finished second in the race and in turn confirmed P2 in the driver’s world championship, beating Sergio Perez by three points. Mexican driver Perez rounded up the final podium position and Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz finished P4. Mercedes’ George Russel finished fifth as seven-time world champions Lewis Hamilton failed to finish the race because of a mechanical failure. Sebastian Vettel announced his retirement from F1 earlier this year, making the Abu Dhabi GP the final race of his career. The German driver finished P10 and thanked the fans for support and for loving him all these years.
