Bundesliga 2022-23: Serge Gnabry And Eric Choupu-Moting Score As Bayern Munich Win 2-0 Over Schalke 04 – In Pics

In the final game before the FIFA World Cup, Bayern Munich maintained their fine form in the Bundesliga, winning 2-0 away from home at Schalke. Serge Gnabry and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting scored in either halves to give the win to the Bavarians. Schalke were on the backfoot throughout the game, finding difficulties in going forward and winning the ball back from Bayern’s hold. To overcome a 2-0 deficit was a bit too much to ask for as Schalke remain plum last in the Bundesliga table. Just seven minutes into the first half, German winger Gnabry and Jamal Musiala combined to give Bayern the lead. Musiala laid off a backheel into Gnabry’s path who fired it home first time past Schwolow. Bayern enjoyed the majority of the ball but were frustrated as they couldn’t find the gaps that were big enough to penetrate towards the Schalke goal. In the second half, Bayern hit with a thundering counter attack, with Musiala and Gnabry combining again before the former slipping a pass to Choupo-Moting who finds the goal with a calm finish
