Protests Across North East Over Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB)

Life in North East came to a screeching halt as students' organisations of the region observed a day-long bandh against the controversial Citizenship (Amendment) Bill. The CAB seeks to grant Indian citizenship to non-Muslim refugees from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan if they faced religious persecution there.
