After Congress released a CD purportedly showing Narendra Modi in pictures with hawala accused Afroz Fatta, BJP hit back by coming out with pictures showing the same man with Congress MP Md Azharuddin.
Where Is My Bat?
Mohammad Azharuddin has secretly expressed a desire to join the Trinamool Congress in the hope the party would give him a ticket to contest from a Bengal seat this time. The fact that he is currently a part of the Congress and an MP from UP’s Moradabad has evidently not been a deterrent. Meanwhile, Congress sources claim the party high command and UP district leaders “were not too keen” to issue another ticket to him (the former cricket captain apparently never went back to the constituency after his win). Trinamool sources reveal they too aren’t showing much interest. Not only because of his poor record as an MP but also because he’s not formally quit the Congress.
After thrashing about in the cauldron of two years of international cricket, the 18-year-old Sachin Tendulkar was still the boy-wonder in 1991. Seniors Azhar and Kapil feel entitled to squeeze his cheeks in Australia. No wonder!

Pitched High A ‘politically hapless’ ex-cricketer did finally turn the 25-year misfortune for the Congress in the brassy lanes of Moradabad. On a brand new pitch, Mohammed Azharuddin promises a long innings and the commitment to high scores. (Ah...couldn’t resist.)
