Long with the family that hosted Gandhiji, Sotheby’s has finally laid its hand on the valuable sketch. Also under the hammer are letters Gandhi wrote to Sarat Chandra Bose, Congress­man and elder brother of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.

164-year-old institution, The Alfred High School in Rajkot where Mahatma Gandhi studied. The institution has been shut down by the authorities to make way for a museum.
