I studied to get into the business of book publishing. I started my career with Women’s Era, where I soon became in-charge of the magazine. Being my first job, I have some very good memories of it. My experience there helped me get a job on the Hindustan Times desk. I started reporting as its first woman state correspondent in Kerala. From there, I went on to work with other newspapers, including in the Gulf. I can’t remember a single instance when I may have regretted my job as a journalist. I have met so many amazing people over the years, from scientists, economists to small investors, farmers, students, child prodigies etc and it has been a constant learning process.
