The banner reads "Bhagat Singh Chowk Na-manzoor" at Shadman Roundabout in Lahore. The blue portion on the banner says 'bhagat singh chauk nazariya-e- pakistan par humlaa hai' (Naming the roundabout Bhagat Singh Chowk is an attack on the idea of Pakistan) The City District Government of Lahore had announced last month that Shadman Chowk would be renamed Bhagat Singh Chowk to acknowledge his revolutionary spirit and his role in the movement against the erstwhile British rulers of the subcontinent. However, the move has been put on hold after protests from extremist organisations like JuD.
