AIADMK General Secretary V K Sasikala releases manifesto of party founder the late M G Ramachandran on his 100th birth anniversary celebration, at party headquarters, in Chennai.
V K Sasikala, close aide of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, was admitted to Bengaluru’s Victoria Hospital after she contracted coronavirus, last week.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K. Palaniswami has clarified that Sasikala’s release will have no impact on the ruling AIADMK since the party has already distanced itself from her and her family.
Chief Minister K Palaniswami asserted that the anticipated release of Sasikala would not alter the stand of AIADMK to keep her and her kin at bay, both from the party and the government
For the 439 days that she has spent in prison, Sasikala is entitled to an ordinary remission of 129 days for good behaviour and also for not seeking frequent paroles, said her lawyer.
Jayalalitha's close friend Sasikala, now in jail, is building her political redemption around the famous Poes Garden bungalow that is now confiscated by the court
