G20 Summit In Jharkhand Showcases State’s Innovation And Rich Tribal Culture

The G20 Summit in Ranchi, Jharkhand, was a truly remarkable event for the state. The two-day program included the Research and Innovation Initiative Gathering (RIIG) and a visit to the Patratu Lake Resort in Kodram.

The city was bustling with energy and excitement as it prepared to host the G20 Summit. The streets were decorated with welcoming banners, and every pillar and roundabout was dedicated to adorning the event. The city was filled with joy and celebration, and the delegates were warmly welcomed at Birsa Munda Airport with a tribal performance. They were accommodated at the Radisson Blu Hotel, where they experienced the local culture and hospitality.

On the summit’s first day, the RIIG conference focused on ‘Materials for Sustainable Energy.’ Delegates from all participating countries came together to discuss 21st century challenges related to energy materials and devices, solar energy utilization, photovoltaic technology, and materials and processes for green energy. The conference provided an excellent opportunity for the state to showcase its innovative ideas and potential for progress.

The second day of the summit was exclusively planned at the Patratu Lake Resort, which showcased the rich tribal culture of Jharkhand. At the resort, the delegates were greeted with a traditional folk dance and music display. They were also treated to a motorboat ride to the island in the middle of the lake.

The Shilpgram fair organised in the resort provided the G20 delegates with a memorable experience, showcasing the rich tribal tradition and culture of Jharkhand. It was exciting and adventurous and showcased different stalls, such as grass mat making, bangles making, terracotta art, bamboo craft, Jado Patiya painting, Sohrai art, and various other arts and crafts. At the same time, the delegates also had the opportunity to sample traditional delicacies. They also used electric vehicles to move within the resort and enjoyed thrilling rides and water activities.

The G20 Summit in Jharkhand was a resounding success, and the delegates appreciated the hospitality and the rich land culture. It was a heart-filled closure to the summit and left a lasting impression on all attendees.
