Eager to detox and shed those extra calories you might have gained during the festive season or want to have a lesson in wellness which will see you through the coming year? Then why not head to this wellness centre in Maharashtra which promises to help you understand the relationship between sound nutrition and the functioning of the body, through prescribed nutrition, healing therapies and functional fitness programmes.
Atmantan Wellness Centre, located in the outskirts of Pune, is a 42-acre property, on a crystal hill and overlooks the pristine Mulshi Lake. There are 106 guestrooms and villas, wellness facilities, cuisine facilities, and conference and banqueting facilities, but with a minimalistic architectural design. The centre is careful about the ecological impact and is a GOLD LEED Certified Project (a green building certification).
Atmantan has certified experts in ayurveda, naturopathy, functional medicine, pranic healing, counseling, yoga, acupuncture and fitness. This team helps guests by drawing up a ‘Wellness Formula’ keeping the guest’s abilities and requirements in mind.
In January 2022, the wellness centre is scheduled to host renowned acupuncture specialist Linda Carter as a visiting practitioner for a limited period (January 10 to 23). According to a release, guests can sign up for private cosmetic facial acupunctures with her. A member of the British Acupuncture Council, London-based Carter has trained in various fields of acupuncture and other treatments. She graduated as a Doctor of Chinese Medicine in 1995, and began to combine traditional body treatments with rejuvenating facial acupuncture.
Cosmetic facial acupuncture treatment is an alternative to traditional acupuncture. It is known to naturally help make the skin look younger, smoother, and healthier. Facial acupuncture addresses not only signs of aging, but also the skin’s overall health.
The wellness centre offers a variety of packages starting from Rs 10,000 plus tax.
Atmantan Wellness Centre is about 175km from Mumbai and 50km from Pune (the nearest airport) by road. A chopper ride from the Mumbai – Juhu aerodrome to Mulshi Helipad takes around 45 minutes and then an onward 10 minute drive to the centre.
