According to experts, to keep global heating levels at 1.5 degree Celsius, as agreed upon by world leaders, the world has to reduce its carbon emission to half. Despite efforts to cut back on carbon emission, according to a United Nation report, it is expected to rise by 16 per cent by 2030. Clearly, not enough is being done in this matter.

Determined to drive the lesson home, All Living Things Environmental Film Festival (ALT EFF), has decided to build a platform to encourage communities ‘to take action towards creating a sustainable future, locally and at large’. Presenting its second edition until October 17, ALT EFF is probably India’s first and only cinema festival which showcases only films based on environmental conservation.
