Known for its cosmopolitan vibe, Bengaluru has no dearth of options when it comes to finding a place to stay Adding another feather to its hat, the city recently welcomed Accor group’s sixth hotel and the second Grand Mercure. With this latest addition, Karnataka now has seven Accor hotels for travellers to engage in the art and culture down south.
The new hotel is situated right next to Gopalan Signature Mall and is inspired by Hoysala architecture with an intricately detailed facade and notes of Nadaswaram to welcome the guests. Going further into the details drawing inspiration from the Hoysala empire, the lobby bar here has been named 1026 AD, the era of the empire.
The property features 212 well-equipped rooms and suites, La Utsav; the multi-cuisine all day dining restaurant, gym, spa, wellness offerings, an entertainment zone, spaces for meetings and social events and also a dedicated all-round wedding support.
The property also celebrates the art and culture of the empire. One can find traditional elements in little nooks and corners across the property. Inspired by Mysore-style gesso art, the pillars are gold washed, along with artefacts reminiscent of a long-lost period in the history of Karnataka. The lobby boasts of an art gallery encouraging local artists from across the state, to highlight their creations.
The property at the start-up capital of the country also ensures the highest level of safety and sanitisation in the wake of the pandemic.
