American Airlines Cargo has served the Indian market with a general sales agent (GSA) for more than two decades, said the press release. Shanna Abbott, American Airlines Cargo’s GSA contracts manager also mentioned that India is a very important part of their worldwide network, with a high demand for both inbound and outbound cargo traffic such as pharmaceuticals, auto parts and fabrics.

This September, its cargo-only schedule will total more than 1,000 flights serving 32 cities across the globe. At a time when medical equipment and fabric are in-demand commodities being exported, American Airlines’ venture into passenger flights between the two major business hubs in the world comes as a big step.
