Amongst many unique experiences that India has to offer, spiritual retreats are high up on the list. Tourists from across the globe flock to locations like Rishikesh and Amritsar, amongst others to experience the serenity of spirituality.

Spiritual or religious tourism in India accounts for approximately 60 per cent of the domestic tourism in the country. In an attempt to make the spiritual journey more comfortable, Taj Hotels has launched new experiences at five key locations across the country.

‘Divinity Trails at the Taj’ can be experienced at the properties across Tirupati, Varanasi, Amritsar, Madurai and Rishikesh.

One can choose to immersive in a yoga and meditation experience on the banks of the Ganga, soak in the history of Sikhism at Amritsar, or experience the intense yet fulfilling Ganga Aarti in Varanasi. One can also have a fulfilling experience at Taj Tirupati, which is perfect for experiencing the Lord Venkateswara Temple in Tirumala, one of the most visited religious sites in the country.

“Divinity Trails at the Taj is our way to encourage travelers to explore self-fulfilling and spiritual experiences while enjoying a luxurious break,” quoted Renu Basu, Senior Vice President, Global Sales and Marketing, IHCL.
