Post the successful launch of Chandrayaan 2, India’s lunar mission, ISRO updates us of its journey on social media. On Sunday, ISRO posted stunning pictures of the Earth taken by an LI4 camera on the spacecraft. The images taken on Saturday around 5:30pm, are beautiful visuals of the Earth with white clouds hovering atop the blue-green surface.

In minutes, many people have shared and retweeted the pictures across the internet. The journey of the second lunar mission by India is of significant value because a successful landing on the moon would make India a part of the league of very few countries to accomplish the feat. It is expected to be landing on the surface of the moon on September 7, 2019.

Chandrayaan 2 was launched from Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota on July 22, 2019.
