As off-beat as off-beat can get, we have just discovered a place of high intrigue for all you beach junkies who love spontaneity. It's time for you to pack you bags and make your way to Hawaii to spend a day out on the new black sand beach. Created when the Kilauea Volcano erupted in May last year, the lava flow forged the new location along with two new surf breaks located at Issac Kepo'okalani Hale Beach Park.

Travellers are allowed to visit this brand new beach but are advised to be cautious about swimming too deep at the destination due to extremely strong currents present. A lifeguard is present just in case there is trouble. It is recommended you bring you to bring your own bottle of water as the water lines were damaged because of the eruption.

Frequented by endangered hawksbill and green turtles, the beach is a promising location if you are an animal lover. Bring your binoculars and camera to add to your day of fun at this extraordinary beach. A speciality of Hawaii, black beaches grace the region in numbers. If you end up having fun here, explore other black beaches like the Polulu Valley Beach, Kehena Beach, Kaimu Beach, and Punaluu Beach. Make this vacation one you aren't likely to forget.
