Begin the year with a bang and cruise the globe with the Norwegian Jewel. The Norwegian Cruise Line announced the completion of the refurbishment of the Jewel earlier this year. Offering 7 to 19-day itineraries to some of the region’s most exotic destinations, the Jewel will be cruising from Australia's premier destination Sydney to two of Asia's sassiest cities Hong Kong and Singapore between winter 2018 and spring 2019, eventually joining the other cruises from the Norwegian Cruise Line in Alaska for the summer.
All set for a debut in Sydney, Australia on Saturday, Dec. 1, Norwegian Jewel will showcase refreshed venues, updated spaces, premier entertainment and redesigned staterooms. Norwegian Jewel will feature two new shows – “Rock You Tonight,” and ship exclusive “Velvet”. Be ready to be dazzled by Rock You Tonight's fantastic medley of songs from the best bands of the 70s, including Queen, Journey and The Who. The latter, which happens to be an Australian hit musical will make its debut at sea with disco classics, putting together a stellar combination of circus acrobatics, cabaret and burlesque elements.
Each of its many staterooms has been upgraded with new televisions and USB outlets, as well as new carpet, artwork and furniture. Two new dining venues were opened – The Pit Stop and Bliss Ultra Lounge, replacing the Sky High Bar and FYZZ Cabaret Lounge. Travel back in time at The Pit Stop, an all-American bar with vintage license plates, gas station signage and other classic car elements from the 1950s. Bliss Ultra Lounge offers late-night entertainment in a modern and upscale setting, with more intimate seating options now available.
