Get Your Hands on These India's Own Geographical Indication Tagged Products

They make their makers proud, they make their regions proud and we know of some regions because of them. These are India's own GI tagged products

Between places frequented by tourists because of the natural beauty and places that call out to travellers with curious and adventurous mind, there is a whole different category which comprise of places we know about either because of a food item or a work of art. These are not necessarily big and famous cities but we have all heard of them. For instance, we all know about Chennapatna toy or the gorgeous Kutch embroidery work. These are region specific and are the best where quality and characteristics are concerned. These goods are the brand ambassadors of their place of origin and they are called Geographical Indication (GI) tagged products. Once a product gets tagged they enjoy the unique status and India, as of now, has 321 of these GI tagged products. Maybe next time you travel, travel for these items?
