There's nothing quite like a holiday on the hills. West Bengal allows for many beautiful views at the foothills of the Himalaya thanks to its plentiful hill stations. If you are around for Pujo, or are simply visiting Kolkata, do make a trip to these hills stations.

Perhaps the best known of them all, Darjeeling is the land of rolling tea estates, gorgeous landscapes and its un-missable toy train. Sit back and enjoy the view with a cup!

Part of the Darjeeling district, Kurseong has got its own share of tea states. But what makes its special is its orchids in bloom and beautiful vantage points.

In this picture, teapickers are walking up the slopes in Mirik. In reality, you can find and much more in Mirik. Close to Darjeeling, visit this town for pleasant weather, a walk by the lake and a visit to the monastery.

A sleepy, assuming town, Pedong has a charm of its town. Spend a while here to soak up a little sun and do a little light hiking here.

This one is for the brave-hearted. Trek up to Sandakphu, the highest point in West Bengal and experience snow all around. It truly is a winter wonderland.

Faith, nature and great weather come together in this lovely town of Kalimpong. When you visit, remember to pick up a wheel of the Kalimpong cheese!
