City Of Angels by 30 Seconds To Mars

This song by the Jared Leto-led band talks about the city of Los Angeles. Leto grew up in LA and writes about his childhood and the blinding lights and glamour of the city of dreams in this song, juxtaposing it with the darker side of his youth, coming from a less fortunate background. 


Places in the song to visit: Hollywood Hills, Sunset Boulevard and Sunset Strip.

Paris by The 1975 

Although The 1975 have sung about multiple cities, this is one of their only songs that is named after a city. The song is not exactly about Paris but about places around London where the singer wanders around, reminiscing about how he wants to revisit Paris. 

Places in the song to visit: Soho in the West End neighbourhood of London, Bethnal Green in the East End of the city is home to a lot of cafes, and on Sundays, there is a flower market which lends the neighbourhood a vivid pop of colours.

Delhi 6 Title Track 

A love letter to Chandni Chowk, whose postal code is 110006 and is popularly called Delhi 6, this song talks about Delhi and the people of the city. Director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra grew up in Delhi 6 and made sure you want to visit this part of town after listening to this song.

Jhumka Gira Re Bareilly Ke Bazaar Mein

Bareilly is famous for its sweets and patent silver jhumkas and this old Bollywood song glorifies the town's market and tingles all the shopaholics in you. The famous jhumkas, or traditional Indian earrings, were made famous through this song from the 1966 Hindi movie Mera Saaya. 

Places in the song to visit: C8QV+5R9, Bareilly, is the address of the city's famous market. Now the BDA has also installed a massive structure at the entrance that resembles a big jhumka

Budapest by George Ezra 

George Ezra missed his train to Budapest and wrote this song imagining what he would have done had he been there. Described by him as a love song, it also paints a beautiful picture of the Hungarian capital that would make you want to visit it as soon as possible.

Places in the song to visit: Castle Hill, Danube River, sightsee Budapest's old town.
