With the onset of spring, tulips occupy the centrestage in St. Peterburg, symbolizing the city's most anticipated event. Dedicated to the art of the ballet and the much-loved Russian Seasons, the Tulip Festival charms its way through April attracting tourists, shutterbugs, and nature lovers to the Republic of Kalmykia, held in conjunction with the Kalmyk Government, Kalmyk branch of the Russian Geographical Society, and Fund of Wildlife Conservation of Kalmykia.

Experience nomad camps, national folklore, Kalmyk art and craft, sports, and local delicacies at the Internal Tulip festival of Russia. Original florists compose a magnificent realm of flowers, turning Elagin Island into a colourful piece of art. The annual holiday will also exhibit art installations, masterclasses, and concerts.

The floral festival at the Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden is spread over 30 hectares with 1.5 million tulip bulbs of 62 varieties with an added charm of daffodils, hyacinths, and narcissus. The Kansas Tulip Festival also features an array of performances from bands and groups while you stroll through the flower beds by the Historic Museum and Prairie Town Village including the Schonhoff Dutch Mill. Apart from Wamego, you can spend time with these beauties in silence at the Ted Ensley Gardens in Topeka.
