Whether it is Monk's Cafe or Katz's Deli, there are a series of eateries featured in TV shows and movies that became as much a part of the show as the characters. We wanted to hang out at many of them, wishing they were real.

Well, Central Perk may have been created on a set, but, hold your breath and do not keep calm, because some of these spots actually exist.

Mostly retro and oozing with nostalgia, our favourite shows and movies have turned these eateries into the coolest hangouts for sure. Here are pick of five that you should visit to recreate your favourite scenes.

Shalom Grill, The Avengers

Remember that shawarma joint where the Avengers gang ended up after saving New York City from Loki’s madness? The location used in the post-credits scene is this place in Los Angeles where you can dig into an excellent range of sandwiches, burgers, salads, schnitzel, falafel, and shawarma.

Katz’s Delicatessen, When Harry Met Sally
A New York City institution, this place was iconic even before that memorable scene in the award-winning 1989 rom-com. It's been around since 1888, and is known for the delectable pastrami sandwiches. You can even sit at the table where Sally had the fake orgasm. There’s a sign above it that reads “Where Harry Met Sally… Hope You Have What She Had!”

Tom's Restaurant, Seinfeld

This is one of the most beloved sitcoms in television history. The place where Jerry and his friends met up was called Monk’s Cafe in the show. But it is Tom’s Restaurant on the Upper West Side that was used for Monk’s exterior shots. Though nothing was filmed inside, fans come to Tom’s in droves. The place serves classic diner food and has walls lined with Seinfeld-related photos and memorabilia.

The most famous breakfast joint from Parks & Recreation is actually the Landmark Diner, which is located at 2277 Cheshire Bridge Road NE. However, you will need to travel back and forth from this diner to the other at Four ‘N 20 because of its midwestern interior.
