They kept the key elements of the old building intact, thus preserving the memories of its famous former occupant, late playwright and actor, Girish Karnad. For example, you may spend some time browsing through the playwright’s library. Changes have been mostly functional and for safety of the structure.

There are two parts to the restaurant. The Khmer Kafe remains open between 11.30am and 6.30pm while the Khmer Kitchen opens for dinner (reservations only) between .30pm and 11.30pm. Located in one of south Bengaluru’s popular quarters (JP Nagar), this café and restaurant will immediately transport you to the depths of Cambodia through artefacts, statues, a koi pond, wall maps, placemats, cane decorations, and a sumptuous spread. There are both indoor and outdoor dining options.
