Next, witness the reconstructed old town of Frankfurt which exhibits 15 new constructions (built to original plans) and a further 20 new buildings in the heart of the city centre giving Frankfurt a whole new look. The virtual tour of the “new old town” can be accessed by downloading the “Frankfurt Old Town AR” app from Apple App Store or Google Play Store, scan the postcard and tap the highlights you want to see.
If you’re into old historic buildings and light shows, then Luminale digital will be your go-to. The series of videos showcase the majestic city hall, the old opera house, the Carmelite monastery and many other buildings being illuminated with light and sound shows. The Luminale 2020 festival was due to take place from Thursday, March 12, to Sunday, March 15, 2020, but had to be cancelled. The light installations demonstrate the works of famous artists which will surely take you to a fantastical place, even if it’s for a brief moment!
The 4-minute image film of the Hessian state capital, Wiesbaden will take you on an emotional roller-coaster ride. “That’s why we love it” projects the heart and soul of the city, the people, the grand architecture and the culinary scene. That’s not it! The 3D sightseeing videos of various attractions including the Kurhaus, the Hessian State Theatre, and Biebrich Palace on the Rhine, will not only give you the feel of the city, but also of the entire region around it.
