The end is here. We’re not being morbid—it’s time to say goodbye to the original six Avengers, at least on screen. The 22nd movie in American movie franchise of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Avengers: End Game releases tomorrow, April 26, 2019, worldwide. And if you’re even slightly interested in watching the movie, you’ll know that the best way to do so would be in an IMAX theatre. The screen is larger, the sound louder, and the overall effect more cinematic. And in the case of Avengers: End Game, the entire film has been shot with IMAX ALEXA Arri-65 cameras, the newest large format digital camera in the IMAXverse. This means that the colours will be more vivid, the sound, more detailed and images, crisp. Avengers: Endgame will be presented in an expanded IMAX 1.9:1 aspect ratio exclusively in IMAX theatres.
While any IMAX theatre would be a good idea, hardcore fans may be interested in knowing about the largest screen in the world. Melbourne, Australia boasts the biggest IMAX screen in the world, with a screen that is 32 metres wide (105 feet) and 23 metres (75 feet) high. Not just that, but the theatre is also home to ‘revolutionary projection systems, customised theatre geometry and 15,000 watts of digital surround sound to deliver the ultimate movie-going experience.’
Your burning questions on what will happen to your favourite superhero, if there will be a post-credits scene and who will survive the End Game will be answered soon. The wait is almost over.
