Shimla: Café with a Twist

You can now curl up with coffee, a good book and a little something to eat at Shimla’s Book Café. What’s unique here, you ask? The café is operated by prison inmates. Trained by the Radisson Blu group of hotels, they will both manage the place as well as cook the food. The café was inaugurated on April 11 by Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister, Virbhadra Singh. Apart from coffee, books and snacks, the café will also sell woollen shawls and other articles made by the inmates.
