Famous for its stepwells and palaces, Bundi, an architecturally rich medieval town in Rajasthan, will host the Bundi Festival this November 17-19. If rich local art traditions turn you on, then you should head for the festival and check out the artisanal crafts, ethnic sports, cultural exhibitions, classical music and dance, as well as turban competitions! On the first day of the festival, early in the morning, men and women in their traditional best gather on the banks of River Chambal to light diyas. While you are there, you might as well take a tour of the many palaces and forts that dot the town.
