What Is Shibarium And Why Is It Good For The Trending Meme Coins?

The Shibarium looks like it could be a huge development for Shiba Inu and others. But what is it and how will it benefit trending meme coins.

Meme coins are not just volatile when it comes to their market performance but also as a subject in the crypto community. Many critics were skeptical of the two best-performing original coins, Dogecoin (DOGE) and Shiba Inu (SHIB). The former was founded as a joke and the latter was founded as a troll mission to try to topple the former which was enjoying success.

So, you can excuse people for being a bit wary of the long-term capabilities of either coin and for especially being wary of either being a scam. However, what has followed these two coins are more meme coins hoping to replicate their success. As with all new-generation coins they try to take the best parts of the original and improve on their faults.

Coins like Love Hate Inu (LHINU) and Tamadoge (TAMA) in particular look like meme coins that will eventually grow much bigger than their siblings. What they have done is shown that meme coins don’t just have to be fun assets with very little substance. Instead, they have shown they can be thriving ecosystems that offer just as much as any other cryptos while also maintaining their fin meme origins.

Shibarium is a bit of a chicken and egg situation. Would Shiba Inu have always tried to develop and grow as a coin or are they reacting to this new generation of meme coins that are threatening their status? Either way, Shibaarium should not just benefit its native token but also trending meme coins.

So what is Shibarium?

Shibarium is going to be Shiba Inu’s (SHIB) blockchain network. This is a huge advancement for a meme coin and could mean big things for the future of meme coins in general. It will be a layer 2 network that will be built on top of Ethereum. This is where all of Shiba Inu’s transactions would have previously taken place.

A layer 2 network can be built onto layer 1 which acts as a foundation, imagine a house and think of the actual house being constructed on top of the foundation. Of course, the benefit of a layer 2 network is it can offer faster and cheaper transactions. It also means the network will be able to handle bigger quantities of transactions which leaves the door open to ecosystem expansion in the future.

The beta version of Shibarium is already up and running if you want to check it out, and it will officially launch in May. Perhaps the best feature that Shibarium will offer is the increased ability to burn tokens. The main drawback to Shiba Inu is the absolutely ridiculous amount of tokens there are so any mechanism that helps cut down the total amount will be welcomed by current coin holders.

Why Is Shibarium good for current trending meme coins

Although they are technically competing, meme coins also have a symbiotic relationship of sorts. Any coin that attracts people into their corner of the market increases the likelihood that the investor will check out other meme coins too.

Shibarium will show other mem coins what is possible if they play their cards right and the new generation of coins has likely spurred Shiba Inu into this development. So, let's take a look at the two meme coins that are trending right now.

Love Hate Inu

One of the most exciting presales currently ongoing is Love Hate Inu (LHINU) which is an exciting project that couples memes and a V2E platform. Users can go on their site and vote on the interesting topics currently trending in politics, society, and everything else they can think of.

The meme part is really fun too, funny angel and devil representations of celebrities float around the web page as you decide whether to vote if you like or dislike said individual. It already seems to be doing the trick as one youtube search of Love Hate Inu will show that influencers are already head over heels for this next-generation project.

A key part of Love Hate Inu’s project is safety and security which they make sure to get across in their white paper. Users will have to stake coins for 30 days before they will be allowed to vote on polls; this is both to ensure their anonymity and also the poll's integrity as it stops users from spamming or rigging them.

In terms of overall project security, the meme coin has learned from the mistakes of previous projects that have failed. They will sell 90 percent of their coins during presale and only 10 will be allocated for exchanges. This ensures only people that really believe in the project will possess the coins and they won’t have to worry about any future rug pulls.

Tamadoge

Tamadoge (TAMA) is one of the more established meme coins on the market and for a while now looks like it will be a stronger option than both Dogecoin and Shiba Inu. This looked certain at the start when it had a breaking presale that raised $15 million which is just a huge number for a meme coin.

Unfortunately for Tamadoge, it had the bad timing of going live on exchanges right in the middle of the crypto winter which was 2022. This did no favors for its price which plummeted until the new year. It then looked like it would finally live up to its billing as it enjoyed a great start to Q1 but this was fleeting and the price is back down in the same region it was coming into the year.

However, the future is looking much brighter. The ecosystem is expanding and has recently added two very fun arcade games; Tama Blast and Rocket Doge taking the number of P2E games available to play on their site to four. Another game, Tama Run is coming soon as the ecosystem continues to grow.

We think this is a buy-low time for Tamadoge, their site is the most fun and interactive of all meme coins and the P2E game catalog is getting bigger and better. We expect some of the glow of Shibarium to rub off on Tamadoge and cause it to pump.

Conclusion

The Shibarium development really opens up a world of possibilities for meme coins and that's especially true for trending coins like Love Hate Inu (LHINU) and Tamadoge (TAMA). Both these coins are at very different stages of their development but have one thing in common. We believe the price for both is as low as it will ever be, so opportunistic investors have a great chance to pounce before they pump.
