In a significant development, 2,000 teachers will receive their appointment letters on September 2 at the ‘Rajiv Yuva Mitan Sammelan’. These appointments are a result of direct recruitment by the School Education Department. The event will witness the presence of Lok Sabha MP Mr. Rahul Gandhi, Chief Minister Mr.Bhupesh Baghel, School Education Minister Mr. Ravindra Choubey, and other cabinet members. As a symbolic gesture, 20 teachers from Bastar and Surguja divisions will receive their appointment letters from the dignitaries. The Rajiv Yuva Mitan Sammelan will be held at Mela Ground in Nava Raipur on Saturday.

In a historic move, the Chhattisgarh Government has conducted direct recruitment of teachers for the first time since its inception as a state. In March 2019, the School Education Department posted an advertisement for the recruitment of 14,580 lecturer teachers and assistant teachers. Yesterday, 10,834 candidates were appointed to these advertised posts. Furthermore, there is an ongoing recruitment drive for 12,489 lecturer, teacher, and assistant teacher positions in Bastar and Surguja divisions. Following the appointment of lecturers, 232 candidates received their appointment letters at the Chief Minister's residence on August 12, 2023. Additionally, out of the 5,772 advertised teaching positions, appointment letters are now being issued for 3,449 posts. Notably, a group of 2,000 candidates will collectively receive their appointment letters at the upcoming Rajiv Yuva Mitan Sammelan in Naya Raipur, marking a historic milestone in the state's education system.
