Provacan is one of the most popular CBD brands in the UK right now, and is part of the Ciitech family (along with Impact CBD and Hugg) - they sell a variety of oils, CBD creams, CBD vape pens / pods) and capsules, as well as Gummies).

They've been featured in cannabis publications like Green Shoppers and Way of Leaf (which we're sure Provacan/Ciitech own/are associated with), Marijuana Break, and Shopping CBD, as well as mainstream news outlets like the London Evening Standard and Business Insider. To put it mildly, these guys are all over the place. So why?

But, when it comes down to it, how do Provacan CBD oil products compare to other CBD oils in the UK, and why is Provacan CBD oil so popular with beginners? We put them to the test ourselves for this review, as well as taking into account all of the Provacan reviews available online, to create this Provacan review.

In Summary

Provacan is one of the largest CBD companies in the UK, if not the largest. Their marketing efforts have resulted in an explosion in the last year or so (which is why you find them everywhere & featured on top tens across the board). This is entirely due to the fact that they are backed by an international network of multi-million [insert currency here] pharmaceutical/biotech behemoths.

The service, delivery, and oil were all excellent in our experience. The only real complaint we have is that Provacan advertises their oils as "full-spectrum," when we believe they are "broad-spectrum" (contain a range of minor cannabinoids and terpenes without THC). Full-spectrum products are thought to be superior, which could explain the misclassification. Provacan's CBD paste is the place to go if you want to buy full-spectrum.

In short, Provacan products can be relied on and may be beneficial to you. In comparison to much of the competition, we'd consider them to be a safe pair of hands. We think carefully about where we put our money, and to be honest, we would steer you away from a behemoth and toward smaller UK-based producers who give back in a more tangible way.

Who is Provacan?

Provacan is part of the Ciitech family and is one of the largest CBD companies in the UK. Ciitech is an Israeli cannabis biotech company with a large presence in the UK cannabis industry. Clifton Flack (who openly writes for/owns GreenShopers and is the founder of ICAN - Israel Cannabis) appears to have founded (and is currently running) Provacan.

Provacan is clearly part of a network of companies that have large multi-national backers and are a major force behind many aspects of the cannabis industry - both politically and economically. They're like the 'Coke of Cannabis,' in our opinion.

Provacan has 4 and a half stars from 416 reviews on Trustpilot, which is a pretty good review average, but given the size of the brand, we would expect Provacan to have more than 416 reviews (other much, much smaller brands have over 1000 seemingly legitimate reviews).

On Trustpilot, 10% of their reviews are rated as bad, poor, or average. We like to look for common themes in these negative reviews to see if there are any recurring issues rather than a one-time occurrence- there appear to be a few bad reviews saying the product doesn't work (which is a fairly common gripe across all companies as CBD isn't for everyone), but two others that are worth looking into: Customer service was either slow or non-existent, delivery was inconsistent, and the bottles were leaky or of poor quality. We had neither of these experiences, so everything was fine in our book!

That leaves an overwhelming majority of 90% scoring above average, which is a very good score when compared to most other CBD companies. The positive reviews mention good customer service (which is understandable given the company's history) and the effectiveness of their CBD oils.

Our Honest Provacan review

Provacan has a wide range of products (including CBD paste and some CBD cosmetics), but we'd like to concentrate on the oil. Oils are typically where most people begin when seeking a more general benefit to their well-being. They range in strength from 300mg to 2400mg; we'll stick to the middle ground of 600mg.

The 600mgs costs £39.99, which is about average for the strength; compare it to Hempen, which charges £45, and the Loveburgh 600mgs, which costs £35.99. In contrast to the other two, Provacan has chosen Olea Europaea, which is a fancy name for olive oil. This is typical for traditional European CBD oils, implying that their CBD oils will be high in antioxidants and essential fatty acids.

We look for lab reports when reviewing any product. We discovered a lab report for the 600mg on their website, but it may or may not be up to date due to batch changes (just as they may have changed their formula by the time you read this). According to the label, the oil contains 6% CBD, 0.3% CBG, 0.02% THC, and virtually no CBC. The company claims that its products are full-spectrum (which could be due to the presence of THC or the inclusion of phytochemicals), but we believe that they are 'broad-spectrum' because they contain a variety of minor phytocannabinoids and phytochemicals but not enough THC.

If you want 'full-spectrum,' get their paste. From the looks of it, their paste will be fantastic. However, it appears that Provacan has recently removed the paste from their website; we'll update this page if they reintroduce the product.

Looking back at the previous Reddit extract, it appears that Fortheagless also sees a lack of THC (we clearly aren't the only ones who believe the oils aren't 'full-spectrum' as advertised).

To be honest, we really liked the oils. The most common complaint about CBD is that it tastes like licking the bottom of a shoe, which is sometimes true. These oils aren't the best tasting you've ever had, but that could be because they're made with olive oil. All of the olive oil CBD oils we've tried taste a little nastier than hemp—perhaps because the flavors clash.

Provacan Discount Codes

Most CBD companies have discount codes for their regular buyers and for those who are part of their mailing list. This is mostly because CBD can be fairly expensive (if you get the real deal) and a lot of companies rely on repeat custom. If you are looking for Provacan Discount codes online then it may be best to avoid random websites claiming to have the discounts, and simply sign up to their newsletter, or follow them on Facebook.

To keep it simple: its better to get provacan discounts from the company itself, rather than anywhere else.

Is Provacan CBD oil good?

We must admit that the Provacan CBD oils are of high quality. They are a trusted brand, and we are confident that you will not be disappointed if you use their CBD Oils. They publish lab reports, provide detailed information on their website, and are part of a family of companies with clearly abundant resources and expertise.

The only minor complaint we have is that the oils are marketed as "full-spectrum" when, in our opinion, they are not. As a second thought, we like to support underdogs who provide a comparable standard.
