Under Inzone Records, the producer is soon releasing its first Punjabi romantic track. Ahead of the song launch, we got in touch with Rajdev to learn more about Inzone Records and what music lovers can expect from the record label.

Excerpts from the conversation:

Q. What was the motivation behind starting Inzone Records?

A. I have been a music lover since childhood. Over the years, my music preferences have changed. I grew up listening to Bollywood hits and eventually fell in love with Punjabi music. The diversity that India has to produce a variety of music singles motivated me to step into the music industry. Also, in the last four years, I got an opportunity to work with many notable names in the industry. It helped me understand the process after which I made up my mind to start my music label.

Q. How do you plan to make your record label stand out from other existing music labels?

A. Well, that’s a task to scale Inzone Records to a new height. I have always believed that good things take time. As I begin my journey with Inzone Records, I firmly believe in bringing original music. Having said that, we will not just collaborate with bigwigs from the industry, but also allow new-age talents to showcase their skills. Whether they are writers, singers, lyricists or filmmakers, Inzone Records aims to give newbies a platform to show their skills to the world.

Q: What were the preparations you underwent before starting Inzone Records?

A. Umm, there were no preparations as such. I would say that I planned things for a long time, and I was aware that building a presence of Inzone Records would take time. It will perhaps be the challenge in our way. However, we are sure to offer the best music to our audience.

Q: Tell us about the first song under Inzone Records. What kind of music genre can the audience expect from your record label?

A: It’s too early to comment about the first song. The song is a Punjabi romantic track, and we are excited to release it soon. Things are in the preliminary stage. An official announcement will be made soon. In terms of music genre, Inzone Records is looking forward to bringing diversified music from nuke and corner of the country. With the diversified culture that India has, I hope to bring the best of music from every part of India. However, we are currently focusing on Hindi and Punjabi music.

Now that everyone is aware of Saikat Roy being a partner at Inzone Records, people can expect a lot more in the coming months.

Q: Besides music, what do you intend to offer through Inzone Records?

A: Music is what I have lived for. At present, my goal at Inzone Records is to bring original tracks. Along with it, we are promoting newer talents and are in talks to buy music for web series and shows streaming on OTT giants. A lot is there in the pipeline, and a lot will be happening soon. As of now, we are taking baby steps until everything falls into place.
