Tulsi Encounter:12 Day Police Remand to Arrested PI
A court at Danta town today sent Ashish Pandya, the Police Inspector arrested in connection with the Tulsi Prajapati encounter case, to a twelve day police remand.

Pandya, posted with the Anti Corruption Bureau in Rajkot district, was arrested by the CID branch yesterday, and produced in the local court today.

Judicial Magistrate Danta S S Joshi passed an order to this effect, after CID sought his remand for 14 days.

Pandya, is the seventh policemen arrested by the state CID, which also includes IPS officer Vipul Aggarwal. Pandya is believed to have shot Tulsiram, a witness in Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter case.

The CID argued that officials arrested earlier from different places in the state have also confirmed the role of ACB Inspector Pandya who was absconding since last one month.

Pandya's remand was necessary to know his role in the encounter, CID advocate told the court.
