The Trinamool Congress today lodged a complaint with the Election Commission accusing BJP President Amit Shah of flouting the election Model Code of Conduct by staying at a government guest house during his campaign for the Assembly bye-elections in West Bengal.
"We have lodged a complaint with the EC against BJP President Amit Shah for flouting the Code by staying at the Kolkata Port Trust guest house during campaign for Assembly bye-elections in the state," Trinamool Congress Parliamentary Party leader Sudip Bandyopadhyay said here.
"We have asked the EC to act immediately against the misuse of the Code by the BJP president," he said.
To a question, Bandyopadhyay said despite all attempts, BJP would not be able to manage any seat either in the Assembly bye-elections or in the 2016 Assembly elections.
