Srinagar, Feb 19 (PTI) Nearly five months after it was damaged in the devastating earthquake, Kaman Aman Setu, the bridge through which the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad bus runs, will be formally thrown open to traffic tomorrow.

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad will inaugurate the re-erected bridge along the Line of Control tomorrow, defence sources said today.

The bridge connecting two sides of Kashmir was extensively damaged in the October 8 earthquake and was re-erected on February 11 by the army engineers in a record time of four hours.

The historic 170-km Srinagar-Muzaffarabad road, which was opened on April 7 last year to allow divided families to meet, had also got cut off due to the earthquake.
