Uttar Pradesh Congress chief Raj Babbar today said the state has become backward in every aspect within a span of 27 years as political parties other than Congress have played "hateful politics based on caste, creed and colour."
He was addressing a public meeting in Jais, which falls under Amethi Lok Sabha constituency, under the campaign "Sattais sal, UP Behal."
The actor-turned-politician, said people sitting on the seat of power are relying on lies.
Criticising the Akhilesh Yadav government, he said, "Government's major agenda is meant for some particular caste."
He assured people that if Congress returns to power, Uttar Pradesh will see new dimensions of development in every aspect.
Congress leaders PL Puniya and Pramod Tiwari also spoke on the occasion.
