Gandhi dumped; Naik, Jaiwantiben, Pharande in BJP list
Mumbai, Mar 14 (PTI) Union Minister of state for Shipping Dilip Gandhi and sitting BJP MP from Bhandara Chunnilal Thakur, do not find place in the list of 21 candidates announced today by the BJP for the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls.

Prominent leaders renominated include Union ministers Ram Naik (north Mumbai), Jaiwantiben Mehta (south Mumbai), while Chairman of Maharashtra Legislative Council, N S Pharande (Ahmed Nagar) and former Maharashtra Finance Minister, Mahadeorao Shivankar (Chimur) have been offered candidature.

Other candidates renominated are: Kirit Somaiyya (north east Mumbai), Advocate Chintaman Vanga (Dahanu), Dr Ramdas Gavit (Dhule), Y G Mahajan (Jalgaon), M K Anna Patil (Erandole), Haribao Rathod (Yavatmal), Hansraj Ahir (Chandrapur), Raosahib Daanve (Jalna), Prithviraj Jachak (Baramati), Suresh Waghmare (Wardha) and Pradip Rawat (Pune).

Newly inducted NCP leader Harish Chandra Chauhan has been nominated for the Malegaon constituency.

Sitting MLA, Prakash Solankhe, has been nominated for the Beed parliamentary segment, while the first timers nominated for the BJP ticket are: Suhas Natavadkar (Nandurbar), former Nagpur Mayor, Atal Bahdur Singh (Nagpur), D B Patil (Nanded) and Shishupal Patle (Bhandara).
