Suspended IPS officer Amitabh Thakur today got "moral support" from whistleblower officers Ashok Khemka and Sanjiv Chaturvedi, as he refused to budge in his fight against the SP government and alleged the woman, who accused him of rape, was being used as a "puppet" by UP Mining minister Gayatri Prajapati.

The bureaucrats, who met Thakur here to extend their "moral support" to him in his "fight for justice", were confident that the police officer would emerge "victorious".

"Well-known crusader bureaucrats Ashok Khemka (IAS), Haryana and Sanjiv Chaturvedi (IFS) presently working in AIIMS, called up Amitabh saying that they extend their moral support in this fight for justice," Amitabh's wife Nutan Thakur said.

"They (the officers) said they are sure he (Amitabh) will emerge victorious in this case," she added.

The Inspector General-rank officer said that these words from the finest officers have bolstered his morale in his fight for justice.

Meanwhile, Thakur and his wife Nutan Thakur today went to the office of Gomti Nagar Circle Officer Satyasen Yadav and gave an 11-page application, claiming that the rape case was "fabricated".

In their application, they claimed that the case was part of a "larger conspiracy and the Mining minister, SCW Chairman Zarina Usmani and member Ashok Pandey and a few policemen were involved in this conspiracy, who are using this woman as a puppet".

"Woman's false case does not mention even basic facts like when Nutan went to Ghaziabad, when and where the lady met her through which political leader, why the woman accepted the promise for a job so easily etc," it said.

They also mentioned SSI Gomtinagar Ramraj Kushwaha's report dated May 21 given to CJM Court Lucknow, which they said mentioned that the location of woman's mobile numbers were not found to be in Gomtinagar area but at Naka Hindola and Charbagh.

Chaturvedi is an Indian Forest Service officer. He is currently the deputy secretary of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).

He has moved the Central Administrative Tribunal against the Haryana government for "deliberately" denying him the right to be considered for promotion.

Khemka is known for cancelling the mutation of Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law Robert Vadra's alleged illegal land deal in Gurgaon.

Thakur had stirred a political storm by releasing text and audio of the conversation purportedly carrying SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav's voice.

The officer alleged that Yadav threatened him after his wife Nutan filed a complaint before the Uttar Pradesh Lokayukta against the Uttar Pradesh Mines minister Prajapati.

On July 11, an FIR was registered at Gomti Nagar police station of Lucknow against Thakur under sections 376 (rape), 504 (intentional insult) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC, on the basis of an earlier complaint by a Ghaziabad-based woman. The IPS officer's wife has been named a co-accused in the FIR.

The IPS officer was suspended on July 13 by the UP government hours after he approached the Union Home Ministry in New Delhi seeking a CBI probe into the rape charges slapped against him. The rape charges came days after Thakur lodged a complaint against the SP chief for allegedly threatening him.

Thakur has sought central force protection and a CBI probe into the rape case. Tha case was registered hours after the officer had lodged a complaint against Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav for allegedly threatening him.

He alleged that his suspension and the allegations were aimed at harassing him.

"No effort was made to know my version nor was there any attempt to get a report from the civil defence (where he was posted at the time of suspension as IG)," he had said.

Thakur said that he would soon move court in connection with these two cases.

Justifying his actions, Thakur said his social activities are as per the amended conduct of rules 2014 and fundamental rights under which one could help others in their fight for equality and justice.
