Arvind Kejriwal who was sworn-in as eighth Delhi Chief Minister will have six Cabinet Ministers including Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia.

In a first, Kejriwal will not keep any portfolio and will look after overall functioning of the government.

Sisodia has been given key portfolios of Finance and Planning, Revenue, Services, Power, Education, Higher Education, Information Technology, Technical Education, Administrative Reforms.

The Deputy Chief Minister has also been given responsibility of Urban Development, Land and Building, Vigilance department and all other departments not specifically allocated to any Minister.

Kejriwal has allocated the departments of Employment, Development, Labour, Transport and General Administration Department to Gopal Rai.

Satyendar Jain, who was Minister in the previous AAP government, was given portfolios of Power, Health, Industries, Gurudwara Management, Irrigation and Flood Control, Public Works Department.

Jitender Singh Tomar will look after departments of Home, Law and Justice, Tourism, Art and Culture while Asim Ahmed Khan has been allocated the departments of Food and Supply, Environment and Forest and Election.

The departments of Women and Child Welfare, Social Welfare, Language and SC and ST have been allocated to Sandeep Kumar.

The Deputy Chief Minister has also been given responsibility of Urban Development, Land and Building, Vigilance department and all other departments not specifically allocated to any Minister.

Apart from the allocation of above portfolios, rooms to the newly sworn-in Ministers have also been allotted.

While Kejriwal will retain the chief minister's room at third floor in Delhi Secretariat, Manish Sisodia has been allotted room no 608 at level 6th, Gopal Rai has been allotted room no 708 at level 7th.

Satyendar Jain has been allotted room no. 702 at level 7th, Jitender Singh Tomar has been allotted room no 808 at level 8th, Asim Ahmed Khan has been allotted room no 802 at level 8th and Sandeep Kumar has been allotted room no 701,702,703 and 705 at level 7th.

Elaborating on his decision not to handle any portfolio, Kejriwal said he will devote his time to find systematic solutions rather than micro-manging any one ministry or department.

He said he will regularly monitor work of all ministers and MLAs and hold them accountable.

"Some people (are) surprised and asking me why I didn't keep any portfolio with myself? I don't think CM should micromanage any one ministry. I will devote myself to finding systemic solutions to Delhi's problems and implementing them.

"This includes technical as well as governance solutions. Also I will regularly monitor the work of all ministers and MLAs and hold them accountable," Kejriwal posted on Twitter.

In his earlier stint as Delhi's Chief Minister, Kejriwal had kept Home, Finance and Power with himself.
