According to the health bulletin, 28 infections were reported in Dakshina Kannada, 23 in Mysuru, 20 in Dharwad, 19 each in Bengaluru rural and Chitradurga, 16 in Kodagu, 13 in Kalaburagi, 12 each in Ballari, Chikkamagaluru, Hassan and Uttara Kannada. Cases were also reported in Bagalkote, Belagavi, Bidar, Chamarajanagar, Chikkaballapura, Davangere, Gadag, Kolar, Koppal, Mandya, Shivamogga, Tumakuru and Vijayapura.
A total of 29 districts recorded zero infections and there were no fatalities in Ramanagara.
With one more case, the number of patients infected with the UK strain on the coronavirus increased to 14, the health department said.
