Lenovo India appoints Ashish Sikka as SMB India Director
New Delhi, May 28 (PTI) Lenovo India today said it has appointed Ashish Sikka as director (small and medium businesses), effective immediately.
Based in Mumbai, Sikka will report to the Lenovo India MD and CEO Rahul Agarwal, the company said in a statement.
In his role, Sikka will be responsible for driving profitable growth for the company in the SMB segment. He will focus on customer centric solutions and would manage an extensive product portfolio that includes laptops, desktops, workstations and tablets.

Kamdhenu Q4 PAT grows over 2-fold to Rs 5.6 cr *TMT bar maker Kamdhenu today posted over two-fold jump in its profit after tax (PAT) at Rs 5.6 crore for the quarter ended March 2018.
The company had clocked Rs 1.9 crore PAT in the year- ago quarter, it said in a regulatory filing.
During the March quarter, its expenses were at Rs 367 crore, as against Rs 251 crore during the three-month period a year-ago.
In 2017-18, Kamdhenu's net profit grew to Rs 15.7 crore , from Rs 8.1 crore in 2016-17.

ESDS launches scanner for banks, corporates to detect smartphone phishing attacks *ESDS Software Solution today launched the latest version of its 'Malware Threats and Vulnerability Scanner' designed to prevent smartphone-based phishing scams.
The solution has been launched in partnership with Hitachi Systems Micro Clinic.
The first-generation solution has been adopted by nearly 10,000 high-traffic websites belonging to banks like the State Bank of India, Canara Bank, UBI, SIDBI, and MUDRA Bank, as well as government departments and enterprises like HCL and Tata group of companies, ESDS said in a statement.

OPPO appoints Alen Wu as head of international business * Handset maker OPPO today said it has appointed Alen Wu as the head of its international business.
Besides, the company has appointed Charles Wong as OPPO assistant vice president and OPPO India president. He will report to Wu.
In his new role, Wu will oversee the entire international operations and is charged to expedite growth outside China, OPPO said in a statement adding that Wu will report to OPPO CEO Tony Chen.
Wu, who is the vice president of OPPO, was formerly in charge of China marketing and sales.

Foodpanda partners The Akshaya Patra Foundation * Foodpanda, an online marketplace for food delivery, today said it has partnered The Akshaya Patra Foundation that implements mid-day meal scheme in government and government-aided schools in India.
As a part of this association, Foodpanda users will be able to donate raw materials to the foundation, Foodpanda said in a statement.
Through this initiative, Foodpanda aims to create an impact of 1 million meals in the next six months, it added.
"Through partnerships like this, we intend to leverage the platform and support endeavours in the direction of hunger eradication in the country," Anshul Khandelwal, head of marketing at Foodpanda, said.
