Greater Noida, Mar 11 (PTI) Thirty three Indian drivers have made it through to the semifinals in the T1 Racer Program (TRP 2.0), out of which 20 will be selected to race in Season 4 of the Tata T1 Prima Truck Racing Championship here on March 19.
Season 4 will also see accomplished racers from FIA’s European Truck Racing Championship (ETRC) competing in the championship for the very first time.
The ETRC will be represented by six racers from the rest of Europe, who will compete in the Pro Class category alongside six British drivers from the British Truck Racing Association (BTRA), who have raced in the championship since its ince
Aamby Valley, Mar 11 (PTI) Drag Racing in India is set to get a major fillip with the launch of the three-round Drag Race Cup Series.
With over 600 participants entering Round 1 of Drag Race-Cup in Aamby Valley near Lonavla, the organisers India Speed Week, have worked out elaborate plans to up the profile of drag racers via this Series.
From high-end cars such as Lamborghinis and Ferraris to superbikes from KTM, Suzuki, Honda, Kawasaki and Yamaha, Aamby Valley saw an assembly of scores of high performance machines speeding through the air strip in ‘one against other’ drag race.
Drag competitions will be held in six two-wheelers categories and four car categories in two classes—Open class and Series Cup class.
The venues for the other two rounds of the Series are yet to be finalised, but India Speed Week is looking at Kolkata as the venue for the grand finale.
The Drag Race Cup is open to both pro racers and drivers and the one-off participant who wishes to take part in only one of the three rounds that has been sanctioned by the FMSCI, the national motorsports governing body.
