Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath Receives Death Threat, Case Registered Under IT Act

‘I will kill CM Yogi Soon’ reads the threat received by the UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday night. A case has been registered under IPC against the unidentified person.

The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath received a death threat on Monday.

Around 10:22 pm a message was received by the ‘Dial 112’ emergency services and it reportedly read, “I will kill CM Yogi Soon”.

As per media reports, a case has been registered against the unidentified person behind this threat with the Police of Sushant Golf City under the Indian Penal Code Sections 506 and 507 Acts and 66 IT Act.

The reports also suggested that the sender’s name was suspected to be Rehan.

At the beginning of this month, the CM received a similar death threat along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It was later found out to be a 16-year-old boy from Bihar.

Reportedly the boy lived in the Chinhat area of Lucknow, he was produced in a juvenile court in Noida but had been granted bail later.
