Union minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on Tuesday termed the Congress-led Rajasthan government the "most corrupt ever" and said it was for the first time that ministers were accusing their own government of indulging in corrupt practices.

He was apparently referring to speeches made by Rajasthan ministers Rajendra Singh Gudha and Hemaram Choudhary in support of dissident leader Sachin Pilot at a rally in Jaipur on Monday.

In a scathing attack on the Ashok Gehlot-led government, the ministers had charged that it has surpassed Karnataka's "40 per cent commission BJP government" in corruption.

Shekhawat, who was here to distribute appointment letters to the newly-appointed candidates in the fifth series of the 'Rozgar Mela', alleged, “It is for the first time that ministers are accusing their cabinet colleagues of corruption."

He also hit out at the state government's 'Mehangai Rahat' camps for making people queue up in scorching heat in the name of relief.

Referring to free electricity supply up to 100 units, the minister said the state  government has been giving 50 units free which can be easily increased to 100 or 2,000 units without asking people to queue up at these camps.

The Jal Shakti minister also alleged that Rajasthan has the highest prices of fuel, which was Rs 10 higher for both petrol and diesel than the prices in neighbouring states.

He claimed the Gehlot government "looted" Rs 30,000 crore from the people in he last four years and "now some of this money is being returned to the people in the name of relief".

Shekhawat also targeted the ruling dispensation over alleged corruption in providing jobs to the youth of the state.
