BSP supremo Mayawati on Sunday asked ruling parties to bow before Sant Ravidas not only for their narrow political interests but also follow the path shown by him.
Her remarks came on the occasion of the birth anniversary of mystic poet and reformer Sant Ravidas.
"Those ruling should not only bow down to Saint Guru Ravidas ji for the sake of their narrow political interests, but at the same time, take special care of his feelings, of the suffering of his followers and work for their welfare. This is the real tribute to him," she said in a tweet in Hindi.

"On the birth anniversary of the great Saint Guru Ravidas ji, who gave the immortal spiritual message of 'Man Changa to Kathoti Mein Ganga' (to the pure everything is pure) to all the people. I pay my respects to him and to all his followers living in the country," she added.
