A video doing rounds showing a man stripping the feathers off a peacock in a torturous way has created an uproar on social media platforms. The video, recorded on a phone camera, was reportedly from Madhya Pradesh’s Katni.
The man had shared the video on his social media profile across platforms, according to an NDTV report, from where it went viral with many users demanding strict action against him over animal abuse.
In the video, the man could be seen pulling out the feathers off the peacock in a torturous manner while a friend, sitting next to him, watches on and another person records. The video had a Bollywood song playing in the background.

According to media reports, police have identified the man based on the number plate seen on the bike in the video. Authorities have also asked locals and media to keep an eye out for the accused.
