A few women police personnel razed the house of a rape accused in Madhya Pradesh’s Damoh district using JCB bulldozers. The man, Kaushal Kishore Choubey, was one of four people accused of raping a minor girl in the state.

Three others were arrested earlier, while Choubey was arrested today, according to an ANI report. “Chaubey had encroached on government land, which was removed using a bulldozer,” Prashita Kurmi, Raneh PS in-charge, told the agency.

Similar action was taken in UP’s Banda district, where two more illegal houses were bulldozed, belonging to alleged aides of gangster-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari.

In December, the Shivraj Singh Chouhan-led Madhya Pradesh government had ordered the demolition using bulldozers of an illegal house of a man named Pankaj Tripathi, who was seen thrashing his 19-year-old girlfriend after she asked him to marry her.
