An interesting opportunity awaits those who wish to capture the incredible! In an attempt to bring out the true essence of India’s beauty and promote tourism in the country, the Ministry of Tourism has joined hands with Incredible India to bring out the nation’s first virtual videography contest. The contest had commenced on December 24th last year and ends on February 28th this year.

As per the guidelines, the participants are required to make a video not exceeding a minute, based on themes such as capturing the UNESCO World Heritage sites, adventure tourism, Indian cuisines, rural tourism and wildlife tourism. Participants can make and submit videos on more than one theme but must make sure to submit just one video under each head.

The participants are required to mention the theme along with the video. The video must be of high resolution and must be the original work of the owner. For the mode of submission, all the files must be submitted on Incredible India’s social media address as mentioned on the official site of the Ministry of Tourism. Any other mode of submission shall not be accepted.

The Ministry of Tourism will evaluate the video on basis of criteria like creativity, originality, authenticity, technical excellence, visual impact and overall communication of the chosen theme. The entries exceeding the prescribed time of one minute shall stand disqualified. Once the results are declared by the ministry, no individual explanations shall be provided to the participants.

Speaking of accolades, the first three videos from each theme shall be featured on the social media handles of the Ministry of Tourism along with participation certificates for all the participants. A 2N -3D accommodation at an exciting tourist destination will be arranged by the concerned regional tourism office for the first winner from each theme.
